SOLUTION ORIENTED DEVELOPERS: Founder of House of Math, Vibeke G Fængsrud let her self be impressed by how solution oriented the Cefalo-developers are.
– I really appreciate that Cefalo is very solution-oriented. Some only see problems, but Cefalo always tries to solve them. That makes me happy. They are true problem-solvers, says Vibeke Gwendoline Fængsrud, founder and CEO of House of Math.
The successful founder has experienced tremendous growth. The popular math portal now has over 1.7 million registered users. Fængsrud recently raised 45 million NOK and is now aiming for global growth and expansion.

CREATED A MATH PORTAL FOR CHILDREN: After struggling with math herself, Vibeke G. Fængsrud developed techniques that helped her excel in math. Now she wants to teach others the same techniques.
85 % of House of Math's Developers Are from Cefalo
House of Math is a digital math portal for children from first to thirteenth grade. In the portal, children learn math through gamification, games, and study tips. Engaged mentors can chat with the children or provide private tutoring via video. The external technologists from Cefalo have played a crucial role in developing the portal. A full 85% of the development team is from Cefalo.
We needed many developers, and we are very satisfied. They are incredibly skilled and great to work with, says Vibeke Fængsrud of House of Math.

LEARNING MATH SHOULD BE FUN: It's easier to learn when you're having fun. House of Math has built a business model around this concept.
Cefalo Developers Were Always Plan A
Many companies struggle to find Norwegian developers, and an external development team often becomes plan B. That was not the case for House of Math. For them, Cefalo was always plan A. The flexible and affordable solution attracted the math entrepreneur.
– We needed a flexible solution because it was important for us to understand what kind of expertise we needed before committing to high costs in developers. With Cefalo, we could assess the competencies and determine what kind of tech team we needed, as well as scale up or down as needed, says Vibeke Fængsrud.
Cost was also a decisive factor.
– It was, of course, a cost issue. Norwegian developers are much more expensive. With Cefalo, we get skilled developers at half the price of Norwegian developers. For House of Math, Cefalo was plan A all along, says Vibeke Fængsrud.

Feels Like They Are Our Employees
Cefalo's external developers are handpicked according to the client's needs. The client's position is advertised, and Cefalo conducts the recruitment process. The developers then enter full-time positions with the client, and the goal is for them to be perceived as the client's employees, even though they are located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Vibeke Fængsrud and tech manager Jarle Stavnes consider the developers as their own employees.
We perceive them as our employees, even though they work remotely. They engage in our social media channels, wear House of Math T-shirts, and say they feel included, says Jarle Stavnes.

ENGAGED EMPLOYEES: Cefalo's developers are perceived as our own employees, says Jarle Stavnes of House of Math.
Satisfied Employees Lead to Low Turn-Over
The work culture at the office in Bangladesh is characterized by Norwegian corporate culture. The team from House of Math recently visited Cefalo's offices in Dhaka. There, they got a good impression of the working conditions, atmosphere, and culture. The satisfaction and focus on work/life balance provide stability among the developers.
– The stay at Cefalo in Dhaka was very pleasant. We work closely with the developers daily, so there wasn't much difference working together down there. But it was nice to meet in person, says Jarle Stavnes.
